One of my ultimate goals, when I started triathlon, was to complete an Ironman in under the magical 8 hours. Over the years I found out that hilly races suit me better hence the chase for sub-8 took a back seat. Since my time as a professional triathlete is slowly running out, last year, I finally decided to chase that goal. The season was far from perfect and I was entering every race on the calendar before they started canceling them like in the year prior. Clearly, not the ideal scenario to get the desired results. Nevertheless, I managed to break the Croatian Ironman record two times and came close to my sub8 goal with 8:07h at Ironman Klagenfurt. Now, one year later, I’m trying to do everything I can to finally make my sub-8 goal happen.
